Hi everyone,

I've filed my I-131 along with my I-485 and I-765 about a month ago. I got three NOA1 (I-797C) in the mail shortly after, one for all three.

On my biometrics appoint letter, it only had the case numbers I-485 and I-765 listed. I went to the appointment last week Friday as normal and had my biometrics done.

I logged in today to the USCIS website to check on my case, and for the I-131 case udpate (which is in Initial Review stage) there's the general information underneath the this saying that I should be expecting a biometrics appointment letter for this application.

I called USCIS and asked if it was odd that I didn't have my biometrics taken for the I-131 and all they could say was that if I needed one they will be sending a letter to me for the appointment and that all I could do was sit and wait to see what happens. Super frustrating because as it is, the three month estimation of when I will be receiving the I-131 will be late September, and I have an overseas trip already booked for early November! So any further delay would really be pushing it.

Can anyone shed any light - did or didn't you need to have biometrics for I-131 (in addition to I-145 and I-765) when filed with the other two?

The biometrics that are "captured" (USCIS-speak) for I-485 and I-1765 will be used in the preparation of your I-765/I-131 (EAD/AP) 'combo card.' As has been discussed numerous times on these forums, the usual processing time for the EAD/AP combo card is 60-90 days.

Biometric appointment is indeed for I-485 and I-765. Since I-765 and I-131 are combo card, hence one biometric is taken. You are fine.

New Journey AOS:

My fiancee came to US on the 8th of March, 2014 under K-1 visa at Newark, NJ Airport for POE.

Applied Social Security Number on the 10 of March, 2014.

Married on the 13th of March, 2014.

Sent I-485, I-765, and I-131 on the 15th of March, 2014.

Received EAD on June 7, 2014.

Received Notice of Potential Interview Waiver on July 1, 2014 date 6/27

Contacted Ombudsman on 01/12/2015.

Ombudsman contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015.

Ombudsman sent a follow up to USCIS on 03/18/2015.

I-485 approved on 03/31/2015 ( we ordered your card).

Welcome notice was mailed on 04/01/2015.

Received Welcome Notice on 04/08/2015.

Card was mailed to me/picked up by USPS on 04/08/2015.

Received GC on 4/10/2015.

I was worry about that, my wife has her biometric in a week and i received the same letter for I485 and I765 and nothing for I131
