"The Lake House" is somewhat in that category. The lovers are two years apart and correspond over time. I enjoyed it. Also, there are two films with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, "You've Got Mail" and "Sleepless In Seattle", that have elements of long distance relationships. Maybe last year's "The Hoilday", qualifies. It's about two women who swap homes to vacation, then fall in love with men they meet at each other's place, but I haven't seen it yet.

It's not a long-distance themed movie but omg if you wanna cry your eyes out see The Notebook. I still get choked up just thinking of the content of that movie...and I saw it over a year ago...lol.
