I have submitted my wife's AOS for the green card. We filled out the paper work for her work permit and parol status.

I am curious though, what can she present when leaving the country to enter another ? Will she have a new visa/stamp in her passport that shows her having ties to America, therefor giving her the same travel permissions as an American or will she have to use her passport from her native land, Russia ?

She uses her passport from her native country as she is not a u.s. citizen. She will not get a stamp in her passport for travel - she gets her AP combo card which she must present when re-entering the united states, then when she has her green card she presents her passport and green card when re-entering the united states.

If your wife changes her last name to her new married name she can travel on her passport that has her maiden name, provided that she books her flights in her maiden/the name listed on her passport. When re-entering the united states with her passport (in maiden name) green card (in married name) she can show a photocopy of her marriage certificate (which shows as proof of her new married name)

She will have to use her passport, she wont get the same travel "permissions" as an american as she is not one. I believe there are a couple of exceptions such as Canada and Mexico where she could use her GC when she gets it. Not 100% on that though so check.
