Expired I-94..any options?

After my fiancee arrived to the States on a K-1 we got married about a month after and found out that it costs around 1070 for I-485 and currently trying to get an SSN card, wealso found out our i-94 expired. After browsing the forums there seems to be conflicting information. Some people mention that one can just apply for EAD to get SSN, others say to apply for AOS after i-94 expired. What would be the best option ?

You went through the K-1 process without knowing how much AOS costs?


Also, yes, you need to apply for AOS to get an EAD. It takes 30-90 days.

$1,070, and you won't be able to obtain a social security number now until you have your EAD, which you can apply for for free with your AoS packet.

Day 341 (12/10/18) Interview was scheduled for 1/14/19

Day 376 (1/14/19) Interview

Day 385 (1/23/19) Denied

Day 400 (2/7/19) Denial revoked; N-400 approved; oath ceremony set for 2/14/19

Day 407 (2/14/19) Oath ceremony in Dallas, TX
