Delta Airlines moved to Terminal 3 ???

Have you ever used terminal 3? Very small and no jetways. Have to walk across the tarmac to board. Hard to imagine Delta fitting a jumbo jet in next to the PAL and Cebu Pacific short hauler 737's and A320's. This sounds like a very bad idea by either NAIA or Delta.

Why did the move?

Is terminal 3 where PAL flies out of?

I think Terminal 2 is for Cebu Pacific, I could have them mixed up?

To "decongest" terminal 1.Lol Pal is at terminal 2,cebpac terminal 3 :)

Terminal 3 was started like,15 years ago. It was supposed to be the new international terminal.

Pal express and cebu pacific are the main airlines flying out of there, and ana was flying out of term 3 last year.

It is a modern and up to date airport. Yes, there are some gates that you board a bus and ride to your plane, but those are on the domestic carriers. And just a few. Not many.

Now terminal 4, yeah, that's old school. That's the domestic terminal. Might as well be in the province.

Pal flies out of terminal 2. Domestic and international.

Yea It's really a long flight -_- I can deal with it but I don't know with my 4 year old son :help: Goodluck to me and the person sitting beside us hehe

I flew from the u.s. to the Philippines with my 2 year old son on delta some advice, bring plenty of snacks, if he has a tablet bring that as well, but if not no worries he will have plenty of children movies to watch.

My son played with his tablet and watch movies, when he was not sleeping of course. Keep him entertained and he will be fine.

Delta gives you lot of food to eat so eat up and enjoy your flight!!

I thought my son was going to be terrible because he can't sit still for more than 2 minutes. I was really surprised he was awesome. 11 1/2 hours one flight, then 5 1/2 from Japan to Manila and not one problem from him.

I wish you a safe and peaceful flight. I am sure your son will be fine!!

I never had a issue checking in and out of Terminal 1 going back to USA.

I have had issues and long lines just getting into the terminal 3 and catching domestic flights.

I have flown Delta my last few trips since they are about the only direct airline from Dallas To Manila.

ANA has flown 777s out of T3 for years (though their current flights from Japan use 767s due to passenger load - my wife's flight last week was booked on a 787 but ended up changing to 767).

Parenting 101: Redirect... Redirect. Keep in your bag "new" toys that he has never played with as it's new and different to him. For boys, I recommend things to put together or build. The best thing I found were Legos. Boys love to make things and Legos are so simple and you don't need a 1000 pc kit to keep him happy. Buy something that is simple for his age to put together. They love to make monsters and things that go as in vehicles. Reading to your child with picture books works also. Be interactive and ask questions of the character or theme of the book.

A tablet with lots of games on it will certainly entertain him. Don't over feed your child as this might possibly give him indigestion and now you have a whole new problem on your hands.

You will be fine Mom. Now relax and worry about the steps you need to complete to get to that day when you have this "new challenge" as you fly your way to America. Happy Trails.

Thank you so much for your reply and advises derrickmichille. That's really awesome that your son did well with the long flight. I am preparing toys now that he did not see yet and just give it to him when he starts to get fussy but hopefully he will just be fine. I was just worried because he even complains and ask me when we will arrive even it's just an almost 2 hours flight from Mindanao to Manila, how much more the 5 hours to Japan, 12 hours to Detroit and another 2 hours to Charlotte. But I will try my best to keep him entertained when he's awake. Thanks again. Take care:)

Thank you so much for your tips and advises Greenbaum Hmm the legos sounds like a good idea. I will look him one. I already got him new toys that he hasn't seen yet, and I'll grab a few story and coloring books that would be great too. He doesn't have a tablet right now, I got one but I have to leave it to my brother because it's part of the Globe plan together with my cellphone :( But I will just prepare little stuffs for him and will keep him entertained when he is awake. Hopefully he will do fine and not get rowdy because I was worried that he might disturb other passengers :bonk:

.

. Thank you again and may you have a wonderful day there. Take care and God bless :)
