My Fiancee had her interview back on Feb 17th, 2014 and was put into administrative processing. Since then I have been checking the CEAC site nightly for updates. The "Status Updated Date" changed on April 16th, 2014 which I thought was a sign of them starting to look through it, but I was wrong. The status did not updated again for almost 4 more months. In the mean team by the middle of July a new note appeared on Abu Dhabi's own visa status check site stating that due to regulations Medical Exams are only good for 6 months (this is copied directly from their site below in orange).

Important note for all Immigrant Visa applicants: Due to changes in the regulations regarding medical clearances, medical checks are now valid for only 6 months. The 6 month validity is from the date of the exam until the date of entry to the United States. Thus, even if an applicant has had a medical check in the last 6 months, unless they plan to actually travel and enter the United States before the end of that 6 month period, they will need a NEW medical check. This should be completed at the same medical facility in the UAE where the first check was completed. Every visa applicant must complete the exam, not just the principal applicant.

Does anyone have any further information about this new regulation and has anyone had to get a second medical done for the Abu Dhabi Embassy recently?

My Fiancee 6 months will be up on Aug 16th, 2014 and I saw this and got extremely worried as this would mean that my Fiancee would have to return to Dubai to get another medical exam meaning flight tickets + hotel + medical exam. Which is just more money spent that we had not planned for. We originally planned to have someone we know go to Abu Dhabi with her blue sheet she received on at her interview and passport to get her visa which the Embassy informed us would be ok. So I decided to email them to no avail (as a note Abu Dhabi does not respond to phone calls and only responds to emails if they have not already answered your question on their FAQ).

Three weeks back I called the NVC at 603.334.0700 and was told that AP means AP and if it says Medical then we have to do it, but told me to call back in a week. Two weeks ago I called and the lady was surprised that no updates were made to our Case for 4 months and told me that she will have her supervisor look into it and get back to me via email in 2 weeks. She also informed me to not get another Medical Exam till she contacts me with more information. This last week on Aug 6th, 2014 the "Status Updated Date" changed. 2 hrs later I received an Email from the Abu Dhabi embassy which asked me to proved them with my "Itemized Banks Statements" starting back in June 2013. I provided this information to them (35 statements from multiple banks in a zip file) and on Aug 10th, 2014 they said they will forward this information to the consular officer and to keep checking the status on their site. Today the status updated again to Aug 11th, 2014 and I received another email asking me to provide further detail on two deposits into my banks which I provided them with receipt of the deposits.

I have already provided all the information that was required as a part of my I-134 form. Has anyone else ever been asked to provide "Itemized Banks Statements" during their administrative processing?

In Iran she had many of her vaccinations and when she got to the medical in Dubai they gave her one or two more that she was missing. They also had her do two follow-up vaccinations when she went back to Iran. I am not 100% sure which vaccinations they were, but there is some information on the uscis page http://www.uscis.gov/news/questions-and-answers/vaccination-requirements.
