Hello all,

We filed for AOS, EAD & AP and sent to Chicago lockbox. I included a check for $1070. Yesterday we received our NOA1for the AOS and EAD and a rejection notice for the AP. It stated that the check was the wrong amount or not included, I am guessing that the applications were split up so they didn't see they were filed together for which there shouldn't be a charge for EAD and AP. I guess I will call Monday and resend with a copy of the NOA1 for AOS. Any thoughts?

Yes, you should make call because if you filed I-485 along with I-765 and I-131 both of these fees are waived.

Yes you should be able to refile the AP with the NOA1 for the AOS. It shouldn't have been rejected in the first place. It could be that the person accepting your application was unaware of the policy or who knows what. It most likely was just a clerical error though, I wouldn't worry. Good luck!
