That is not that far off the percentage of whites on the population.

The percentage for blacks in the population is 13.4% so the number is heavily skewed.

That percentage wouldn't really matter in this context. What it seems to show is that people tend to congregate/associate for whatever reason based on race. People are usually killed by someone they know.
