I loathe pants hanging down below your butt. I despise it .

However i totally agree, it is not a law enforcement issue, unless someones actual butt is showing. As a freedom loving American I think they have a right to look stupid.

At a small town 4th of July celebration last year I saw a kid with his pants hanging off his butt. I thought, what an idiot. Then a cop came over and put the cuffs on him for it. Then I thought, wow the cop is even a bigger idiot .

and think about the financial ramifications for that kids' family all over him following a stupid trend. they surely had to pay a ticket, maybe had to miss work for court. and what if he didn't have the benefit of parents who would step up for him and help him take care of the ticket? you do know what happens when you don't pay your ticket..eventually you go to jail.

Research suggests almost half of all black males are arrested by age 23. Years of zero tolerance and over-policing policies have manifest themselves in data: an estimated 49 percent of all young black males now enter the job market with an arrest record, as well as 44 percent of Hispanic males. These arrests not only impose obstacles to a lifetime of success; they also clog the criminal justice system. In testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee earlier this year, a juvenile county chief judge in Georgia lamented that one-third of cases before him were students arrested not because they posed a threat, but because they “make adults mad.”

I know you're just trying to push my buttons, and that's fine. I come from a time when saggin was popularized in prison, and not just because inmates didn't have belts (though I'm sure that had something to do with it too). If you say it's hip, then so be it. It will never be so in my eyes. I may have to learn to tolerate it, but doesn't mean I hafta like it. Obviously a few others think the same thing, because more and more cities are starting to offer fines for it in public.

But as I asked earlier, where do you draw the line? You said when people tell YOU how to dress. What if I decided that having sex in the booth of McDonald's was MY right, would you support my freedom of artistic expression? Or what if your daughter decided that just wearing a bra to school (no shirt) was hip, would you allow that??

So a certain style of dress can reasonably compared to people having sexual intercourse in a family restaurant.

VJ is great for ridiculous comparisons.

What's next? Don't like people drinking coffee in public - feel free to compare it to people squirting heroin up their arms. Ridiculous.

My hint for you - one is legal, one is not.

No, not saying that. I AM in support of people like myself saying something to someone with their pants saggin down to their knees and telling them how dumb it looks. It shouldn't be a law, nor enforced by LEOs. But continue to let people dress like that, and talk back to their parents, and other things that USED to be taboo back when I was a kid, and what will you have? A society with little respect for each other or authority in general. You have to see that happening already, surely?

i teach my son respect has to be earned. i don't see any reason to respect a person simply because they have a badge. i know how easy it is to get one.

1. when someone tells me how to dress.

2. if you decided to have sex in a mcdonalds, i would think that the mcdonalds would have you kicked out. that isn't very sanitary.

3. i would support your right to have sex in a mcdonalds if you got the proper permits to do so. i mean, it's not like you could just up and decide to have a nude parade in the middle of town without paying the proper fees and clearance.

4. i don't have a daughter. but if my son chose to wear a bra to school, he would be sent home and probably suspended. there is a dress code, strictly enforced.

Nature, you know I love you like a play cousin, but can you produce such a video as this? If a white woman was to get her face beat in this way, they'd shut down the entire precinct and fire everyone.

Seomtimes, the cop gets what he deserves, too. Probably not enough, yet, but at least it's a step in the right direction...

2. Sanitariness is not the issue, and you know it.

3. There is no permit required to have sex in public. But it's against the law in every state I know of. Why? Because the "norm" of our society is that exposing your genitalia or a woman's breasts is improper. And another "norm" in our society has been, for many years, that your pants remain fastened above your waist in a fashion that keep your butt and genitals covered without exposing your underwear. Wouldn't you agree?

4. Exactly. Though in school, it is mostly an attempt at avoiding differences among kids' socioeconomic statuses, I would say, not to reduce exposure of their private parts.

2. it was your scenario.

3. you do realize you're talking to a woman right? do you think i want a bunch of similarly minded folk to tell me that i can't wear a tank top that exposes my bra-strap? do you think i want a cop to be legally able to stop me as i'm walking and measure the length of my skirt? women used to wear corsettes, and they looked much more pleasing to the eye than without, maybe we should go back to that?

so, no i disagree.

4.and you're wrong about the reasons for dresscodes in school. my son could go to school wearing very short soccor shorts if he chose to do so, but girls are regularly brought in to nurse's office to have their shorts measured for the 4 inch rule. have you tried to find shorts that go no further than four inches above the knee for a 8-12 year old girl? good friggin luck.

i'm not scared of other people's bodies and if i happen to see someone elses privates, which i don't think has ever happened to me outside of the couple pedos i've drivin alongside on 66, i look away. it doesn't matter. america could go full on nudist colony tomorrow, i'd still wear clothes and i'd still leave the house with my eyes open.

anyway, as a kid i never understood why boys could swim with their shirts off and i had to wear a top. it's silly.

that would include all women, even the ones you'd rather not see all hanging out.

Oh wow, you are right. Sad that they got off, but I guess we don't know all the details like the jury did. From what I saw of the video, it seemed to me like LEO brutality.

Yes. Ok two mind sets here.. The perv I am, likes to look at boobs and I never have seen a air i did not want t see. Yes some are better than others, but I love em all

The serious side of me, I can not understand how it is ok for a man to display his nipples, but not a female because they have more flesh.

we are all taught that men could not handle the pressure of looking without touching. if all women were to go around parading their breasts for all to see, what will stop men from taking whats in front of them?

i personally don't agree with this, but this is our society as it stands.
