Good on you. THAT'S helping your cause.

Too late. You should petition Ewok to allow you another account, and delete this one.

Not true, at least not always. I think the environment has a lot to do with that. There have been some black parties near to my house, quite loud and rowdy even at midnight, and no cops were called. (Next time it happens, I plan to go help them get rid of the liquid evidence, just in case)

Being white can get you killed by the police, other whites, blacks, latinos, etc. Armed or unarmed. There you go again, making it seem like black life is more fragile than any other color. Untrue. Or perhaps... untrue in all locales. Where you live, I can see why your vision is "colored" (pun intended).

Never said it didn't happen to other races, but here's a question for you? Remember a few months ago when that black lady was being pummeled into the ground by a LEO? If not, here's the video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qgweSOiXJ0

Now, do you think a white lady in the same situation would have endured the same treatment? How about the lady whose car was shot up when she fled the cops with a van full of kids. She was clearly in the wrong, but shooting the vehicle?

Black life isn't more fragile, it's more disregarded. If you think I'm wrong, find me the white equivalent of Chicago, Baltimore, St. Louis or Oakland. If a white city suffered a fraction of what these cities go through every day, something would have been done a long time ago.

So then it's safe to say that whites that practice job discrimination and cheer when this kid got shot, are just a few bad apples ?

Nope, that's all of you. See, I am learning.

You can see that. Tell that to others. People think it.

Your very comment shows me that you are pre-programmed to assume people think the worst. THAT'S what I am trying to tell you that you need to let go of. The YOU part.

Not saying you are wrong, sure there are people that think it. I mean heck, I saw part of the video, and saw nothing but blacks in it. What does that look like, when viewed alone? ####### like that is what leads to comments like you mentioned in the other article. But people who tend to rise above the ignorant level will understand that the actions of the individual, not their skin, is what sets them apart and makes them what they are.

dude. He said community. YOU said black. See the difference? Community refers to the locals, black community refers to a particular portion of the locals.

And for the record, the report I read alluded that most of the looters were not local. So they made ANOTHER community look bad. Mostly criminals anyway, I'd wager.

I can add you to my getting cut list you if you keep acting up!

Once again I am part of the express your 4th amnd rights crowd and I see police abuse videos every day. I can assure you whites suffer police brutality also, as I have posted numerous examples.

When I say people, I'm talking folks who can influence the outcome if this goes to trial. I can't change a person's thinking that has this cemented in their minds. What I was saying is when this goes to court, the idiots rioting are cementing the very behavior they hate being tagged with.

Nature, you know I love you like a play cousin, but can you produce such a video as this? If a white woman was to get her face beat in this way, they'd shut down the entire precinct and fire everyone.

awesome. i hope that verbally pointing out your dislike of other people's fashion choices creates a small ripple of change in the industry. i've my fingers crossed.

I know you're just trying to push my buttons, and that's fine. I come from a time when saggin was popularized in prison, and not just because inmates didn't have belts (though I'm sure that had something to do with it too). If you say it's hip, then so be it. It will never be so in my eyes. I may have to learn to tolerate it, but doesn't mean I hafta like it. Obviously a few others think the same thing, because more and more cities are starting to offer fines for it in public.

But as I asked earlier, where do you draw the line? You said when people tell YOU how to dress. What if I decided that having sex in the booth of McDonald's was MY right, would you support my freedom of artistic expression? Or what if your daughter decided that just wearing a bra to school (no shirt) was hip, would you allow that??

i do not care in the slightest about baggy/saggy pants. and if you're on board with american cities fining people for showing their boxers, great. i'm not. i don't believe people need to be policed in such a manner. i'm more of a live and let live kind of girl. you want control over others. and for the record, i'm stating my personal opinion, not pushing your buttons.

and i don't think you want to get me started on gender specific dress codes in public school.

No way it would ever happen to a white woman. Never happen.

I loathe pants hanging down below your butt. I despise it .

However i totally agree, it is not a law enforcement issue, unless someones actual butt is showing. As a freedom loving American I think they have a right to look stupid.

At a small town 4th of July celebration last year I saw a kid with his pants hanging off his butt. I thought, what an idiot. Then a cop came over and put the cuffs on him for it. Then I thought, wow the cop is even a bigger idiot .

No way it would ever happen to a white woman. Never happen.

Happens all the time.

Can you at least address the questions I asked you?

No, not saying that. I AM in support of people like myself saying something to someone with their pants saggin down to their knees and telling them how dumb it looks. It shouldn't be a law, nor enforced by LEOs. But continue to let people dress like that, and talk back to their parents, and other things that USED to be taboo back when I was a kid, and what will you have? A society with little respect for each other or authority in general. You have to see that happening already, surely?
