About the stamp on the passport

Hello,

My mom has a tourist visa and on her I-94, it said that she can stay until August 10, 2014. She left the country on August 7, 2014 but she did not get any stamp of leaving the country. Is that normal? Because she got the stamp when she arrived , but nothing when she left.

She was almost late for the flight, so maybe they forgot to stamp it? I'm worried because I don't want them to punish my mom for overstaying when she already left the country on time.

How can I verify if they have it on file that she already left? Call the Miami International Airport or USCIS, or...?

I have never received a 'departing' stamp on any of my visits to the US, only 'arrival' stamps, and then my home country would stamp me back in.

They should have her 'departing' details on the USCIS computer - It will be linked to her passport.

I wouldn't worry :)

10/03/2016 - NOA in hand! :)

11/07/2016 - Biometrics completed

03/15/2018 - ROC Approved! *No RFE or Interview! Thanks VJ* :thumbs:

04/06/2018 - 10 year GC in hand (With incorrect 'Resident Since' date - Filed SR online 'Typographical Error' with USCIS)

04/19/2018 - Email received from USCIS instructing me to return my GC for expedited correction - Mailed out today
