No. USCIS employees, as with most federal employees, do not work weekends. The approval would have happened on a weekday, probably a Friday, but the notification of the approval only happened the following day.

on the list (Igor's List) Stats Texas Service Center I see someone received her approved today august 9 They work the week end too?????????????????????????????

The approval of my I-129F shown up on USCIS website around 11: 30 PM in their local time. My local time at the time was 10:30 AM. The federal government employees don't work after 05:00 PM unless it was special duties or on weekends.

No one is entering a wrong date. The daemons work the evening shift. :-)

(Seriously: their computers appear set to send mass emails, update the system, etc, over evening and weekend hours, likely to reduce strain on the servers during the work week.)

WOOOHOOO finally.. Friday we got the notice that NOA-1 has been approved.. we Filed Fed 18th and was over the 5 month time line. I contacted my Senator and Congress man in TN. and the Senators office contacted the TSC and in 1 week it was approved.. so for all those over the 5 months. it is a good idea to reach out to your senator seems they have people that handle Visa and problems with Govt. agnecy's We are very happy and soon Lena will be coming here to TN. from Ukraine..

Yes, it is not apply to all federal agencies. My husband is in the military and he took off from work officially 03:30 PM though sometimes he stayed late if he had work needed to be done in that day whereas like post office they usually closed around 05:00 PM.

Military is very different. Even civilians working for the military is different. They are not normal govt employees. Enlisted, for example, are essentially owned by the military and are on call 24/7. Hubs is also ex USAF.

I have noticed many of the approvals come pouring in around 11:00 PM EST and many people have said they received their approval at similar times, though. Is this automated?
