:) If you have good grades, apply online to universities you want to go to ANYWHERE IN the US. But then you have to apply for a student visa with the US consulate of your country! Once you apply, and after a while you get an acceptance letter, you have to provide that proof then on the visa application that you have been accepted and also better to show them proof that you paid the tuition. If you have money problems and also don't want your family to know, start off with a community college which is cheaper, and also MUST get a PO box so you

can receive your mail privately, since it seems your parents want total control over you!!! If you are of age, no one can stop you from living your own life! especially in america!

Also ask the consulate if you qualify for an expidated visa.

good luck hun, and forget men! MEN suck, i bet you will find a charming, american man who will respect your values virtues and your

background and will want to marry you one day and love you. Don't marry the wife-beaters!!! Otherwise, you will never escape the hell

hole!

OP will need physical street address for USCIS forms along

with the email address...no PO box. She just have to be sure

the person is trust worthy & wont get jealous, If using a friends

address going for a PHD I don't think a community college will

be what she needs.

Again is exit visas needed in that country..if so will it be difficult to get?

She might need permission from the parents to leave the country. My husband's 65 year old mother was just denied a visa to Sweden because she didn't have her husband's permission.

Hello friends

Actually i hope my dear friends will give me some help for seriously even thought my question is looks pretty silly.

I am a MSc student from Bahrain . Actually i want to get my PHD from a good university at USA but the problem is my family is extremely prohibited me to even thinking about going alone to USA. they are forcing me to marry before going anywhere else. But as a women i don't want to marry soon but i wanted to Start my PHD program rather soon like 2015 september badge.

So i would like to know guys can i gain the VISA online without noticing my family. i can't let them send me any latter to my home. only thing i can do is submit all the documents online and if posible may be going to the embacy once or twice maximumly.

Since the PHD students recieve the funds for both study and living cost i do not think it will be a problem for me to live alone at USA . but i really want to happen the VISA gaining process secretly.

But is this even posible my friends? I love to study and i don't wanna marry . What are my other option. thanks a lot for yours help

My husband is somewhat familiar with your culture and cautions that you may have serious problems with your family if you attempt to do this. If you are going to do this you must make absolutely certain that you will succeed or be ready to face the consequences as you must know better than anyone here. The members here mean well but when they say just do it they must not be aware of the price you could pay in doing so.

I don't think it's our place to pass judgement (be it positive or negative) on what you're about to do ... but I hope you do realize that every action has a consequence ... and please do be aware of what the consequences will be in your situation.

Now on to the specifics!

Once you're accepted into your PhD program of choice, your university will need to send you your SEVIS I-20 form. This form is very important as it is one of the main documents needed when applying for your visa. This is the main problem: where will you be able to receive your I-20 form and other university materials?

As for the visa application, check with your local US Consulate to see if you are able to pick up your passport once they approve of your visa. That way, you won't have to receive your passport in the mailbox.

Other than that, you can basically do everything online. There may be certain things I'm forgetting that could also would need to be sent to you.

Best of luck to you!
