RFE question

I recieved a request for evidence today (after over 6 months) .... I was very sure I filed all our paperwork properly and provided all necessary documents... does any have an idea what they might be looking for? It hasnt come in the mail yet, and I cant get a rep on the phone on a saturday...

Also, if I give them what they want right away, this isnt like starting a new 5 month wait is it? Man oh man! Feeling excited to finally get a response, but also disapointed it wasnt the noa2....

You won't know what they want until you receive the letter. They looked at your case for the first time just now, looking to approve, but there was something missing so they send you the RFE. That means that the RFE was sent by the adjudicator, and once you send the RFE back to them, they will approve you fairly quickly, usually in 2 weeks or so. The good news is that your case is now with an adjudicator- you're almost there.

I got RFE after 6 month wait too. Mine was for fiancé wife's death certificate. An proof of relationship. An then took a month till approvel.

Ours was approved a few days after they received the RFE response. Mine was for proof of citizenship and bonafide marriage. Sent copy of newly acquired passport and over 300 pages of proof of marriage. They actually tried to tell me my original birth certificate was not issued at birth but on October 18th, 2987. No that is not a type-o. Just telling you this so you can see they have no idea what they are doing. I plan on trying to use their incompetency to my advantage at NVC stage. As soon as I get a case number assigned.
