I just called nvc. They haven't received my case yet. Called at 7:10 eastern time, was on hold for just over 25 minutes.

A little update on my case. I was approved sept 3. Nvc got my case sept 15 and forwarded to the embassy the 18th. Its still in transit im not sure why. It thought it only took abt 3-5 business days.

Congrats to all of the approval and to those who got an rfe I hope everything goes by quickly!

I wonder if California is sending the approvals over in batches as mentioned before. I thought I read somewhere that California takes about 2 weeks to send the cases over. Guess that's true. Does anyone know if USCIS will update the website again once the case has been transferred to NVC? In the meantime, I've been preparing the documents that I will need to send to my fiancé. I'm thinking that by the time the case makes it to the consulate at least 1 month will have passed.

another question everyone. I live in North Carolina. will the RFE come from California or Texas and, how long will it take roughly to get the letter? 7-10 business days maybe? What have been experiences?

USCIS website last night updated for me... to approved!

For any others in the transfer / RFE boat looking for a timeline, we were transferred in August, got the RFE Sept. 10th which we received in the mail Sept. 12. I mailed it back (did not check the criminal history box) Sept. 13 and they received it Sept 15th. From then it was about a week and half until the approval. So RFE to approval in about 2 weeks.

Now... more waiting for NVC/Embassy. My understanding on the timeline that it's a week or two for CSC to send to NVC, then another week or two for them to send to the Embassy, then another week or two of waiting until the interview. Is that about right?

Yeah, RFE to approval could potentially take a bit longer if the RFE is more substantive as in missing divorce decrees for people who were never married, etc.

A divorce decree for someone who was never married? You mean who was married right?

No, someone posted a few pages back about getting an RFE requesting a divorce decree, but the person was never married!

Just wanted to add that, to my knowledge, CSC generally takes longer to forward to NVC than TSC.
