The U.S. citizen (petitioner) has to provide either a birth certificate or copy of every page of the passport to prove citizenship. The beneficiary shows their's with the packet the send in to the embassy or at the interview.

Then I have no clue why We got the RFE... guess we will find out when I get the letter. =(

Our reason for RFE is:

- fiance did not check part 3 I-129F form questions - "no criminal records" (guilty as charged lol)

- they ask us for our divorce papers which we DID send originally *sigh*

I called NVC yesterday and the women said they weren't showing a receipt of my file in their system. I haven't received an update from USCIS either saying it was transferred. I'm going to try and call back next week. At that point it will have been 3 weeks since I received the NOA2.

Congratulations to all recent approvals and those that will be approved tonight! :)

All I can keep thinking is maybe today is the day. NOA 1 date of April 3rd and still waiting to hear something. I'm just as nervous as everyone else is that is still waiting that I will get an RFE as well, since my NOA 1 date is earlier than a lot of the other people who I have seen post get approved. Seems I can't win for losing. Come October 3rd I plan on filing a service request.

A journey of 2855KM begins with a single step.

Does anyone know if its possible to get more than 1 RFE? I got one 2 weeks back (forgot to check the criminal history box, though it only applied to military court martial or something). I've read the above about birth certificates, passport pages, and divorce certificates. Just hoping that I don't get ANOTHER RFE in a few days if there is anything else.

I would think that they would review an app for anything missing and then send 1 RFE, but none of this Gov. BS is logical. Has anyone ever received two RFEs?

When did you send it back the first time?

I only got 1 RFE, last Friday, and mailed it back on Saturday which was received Monday. No action on it yet.

FYI I didn't get 2 RFEs, was just asking if anyone had ever received (or heard of someone who received) 2 RFEs.
