Yay! So happy for you! You'll probably be sent to the nvc whenever we are lol. I'm trying to not dwell on that cuz my fiancé won't have his passport for another 2-3 weeks...but again, yay! Congrats!

Thank you all very much. I appreciate the Happy Birthdays! It almost pained me to write that we were approved. I hate that there are ones who are still waiting. Hate it. I don't want to rub it in or make you feel worse. I absolutely wasn't expecting to be approved today. I was hoping this week but wasn't expecting. And right after we had a big argument about the wedding & the visa not being approved. Go figure! We aren't interviewing until December so we have a little breathing room before it's go time. I have to finish this semester. I don't trust Andrey to be able to interview by himself so now that we're approved, I'm going back to the original plan. I'll fly there & go with him lol

so, I'm racking my brain wondering if there is anything that I could get a RFE for. The only thing I can think of is I sent a copy front and back of my birth certificate (long version) as in the packet it said that a copy could be made. I checked that I signed and dated everything and that he did as well. We did our letter of intents and stated specifically within 90 days. I can't remember if we said the location or not. I am wondering why is it taking so long for us to get an answer about our petition.... any ideas? We have not heard anything since the transfer

I just got my RFE in the mail (sent 9/18 for a NOA1 4/17 application). It requests:

1) my birth certificate. (I included this already - it was an original freshly-issued)

2) my divorce decree from my previous marriage (I included this already - it was an original freshly-issued)

3) my fiance's divorce decree (we checked that his marriage status was "single" because he was NEVER married before)

So, frustrated, I called customer service to say that all these were in the original file and I HAVE PROOF. The level 1 agent just said "sometimes things get lost. Send them again fast or go see your local USCIS office and show them proof that you turned them in". I asked to speak to a level 2 agent and she said "if I transfer you it will drop your call because they are flooded and not accepting any additional calls today. Try them in the morning."

WTH, government?! I could scream. I'm delayed by weeks or more because they screwed up. This sucks.

You either won the "worst adjucator ever" lottery! That or the "worst transfer ever" sweepstakes. At least you can easily give them all that since you did it the first time around. Best of luck to you!

I didn't say anything about where we'd get married, just that we would do it within 90 days.

I also don't think time passed is a sign of getting a rfe or not. And heck, even if you did everything right, you might get a rfe like eletarrias. Fun times!

I'd wager you'll get your noa2 by Friday.
