The good news: NVC finally replied to an e-mail I sent a month ago. The bad news: it was not informative whatsoever.

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center received your inquiry and the attached I-797 Notice of Action - Approval Notice. Unfortunately we do not have a record of receiving your approved petition from the Department of Homeland Security's Office of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). To assist you in determining the location of your petition the NVC will contact USCIS on your behalf for information on the location of this petition.

Removing Conditions Timeline

Aug. 10, '17: Mailed in I-751

Aug. 21, '17: NOA1

October 23, '18: NOA2- approval

Hi in the packet 3 all they ask my fiance to send is his birth certificate original and copy. I am also including the certified birth certificate translation. I am doing the translation here in the US. I am wondering do I have to mail the original translated copy to my fiance or can I scan him the copy. There all still some documents that I am still waiting on to send to him when he goes on the interview but he needs the translation now to submit to "Haiti Messager" as requested in packet 3. I was trying to avoid paying 56 dollars to send just one piece of paper if I can scan it. So scan copy or mail original copy?
