Thank you very much for your support and good wishes.

Hope you'll get an approval this week.

Good luck! :)

You're welcome and thanks! :luv: My baby and I have been apart for over a year and waiting over 5 months for the approval, 3 weeks after the RFE. Longer than some, shorter than others. But we love each other more everyday. We feel bad for the ones waiting so long and scream at the ones getting fast approvals. We are waiting on some good news together, just something we do that makes us stronger. Keep on fighting, it will make your love stronger. In the near future, I hope you can laugh together in each other's arms at the whole thing. Hopefully you will get the decision in the mail soon and can move on to the next round of the fight.

Okay stupid question time. What is a transfer? I have looked through the guides but can't find an exact explanation. I can obviously put forward an educated guess but would love for a fellow VJ member to explain to me exactly what it means...

When a service center is severely back logged with many applications they will somtimes transfer batches of applications to another service center. In my case my I-129f petition was transferred from the Texas service center to the California service center. At that time they sent two batches on August 8th and 11th from April and May filers. It did not include all of April and May filers. I don't know why some were transferred and others not.

Okay makes sense! Are you necessarily transferred to a service center which is geographically closer to you or is it totally random? Thank you for your help!

Southern and Eastern US goes to Texas and western and northern goes to California. The country it split at an angled line from Texas to New York.

Thank you for taking the time to explain this to me, greatly appreciated!

Please update your timeline. Your state, Oregon, is handled by the California Service Center, not Texas ( see here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/423921-which-service-center-handles-which-states-i-129f-petitions/- VSC is now TSC on that page.)

If you didn't receive your NOA1 yet, change it to 'Dallas lockbox' - the lockbox is not a service center. Everyone sends to the same address and it is then routed to Texas or California, depending on your state of residence.

I only ask because right now we have a lot of TSC filers waiting way too long for NOA2 and those who do not fill out their timelines correctly just adds to the headache because we can't predict a timeline for our approval.

Thank you and good luck! :)

I'm probably just being stupid but I couldn't find 'Dallas Lockbox' on the list so I've changed it so that it is blank now.

Sorry for causing any confusion, I must have misunderstood when I first joined and haven't thought to correct it!

Thanks for helping me!

Edit: Even though I've changed it to blank it still seems to be saying Texas  not sure what I've done there...

No worries :) The process itself is kind of confusing, and it might even have said 'Lewisville, TX' under Service Center.. I wasn't able to check on my iPhone and it had been a long day. Sorry if I came off cranky  I swear this process brings out the worst in all of us at times lol

When I click on the drop down I was given three options, Lewisville TX, Phoenix AZ or Chicago! I hate to think I'm messing up how the timelines work by clicking the wrong thing!

Please don't worry I understand you were only trying to help and to make the process more efficient on here for everyone.

That is the one - Lewisville, TX. That's the address where the Dallas lockbox is. Once you receive your NOA1 in the mail and see your case number then you can update it to either California or Texas Service Center (most likely California for you) :)
