It depends on the embassy. With many, the embassy emails the petitioner, who then forwards it to the beneficiary. For some, the beneficiary receives it directly from the embassy. I'm guessing for Haiti, it is the former.

The funny thing is this week I've been working in the same building that the LA USCIS field office is located in. I've wanted to go in and say, "Why are you all so messed up??" I wish I could just drive down to CSC and go look for the file myself.

Still waiting since Oct 6th receipt of the reply to my RFE. A simple divorce certificate. People that sent their entire petition after my simple RFE have gotten approved and each time I see it that feels like a kick in the face.

Called NVC today was told they received my file and gave me my case number The gentleman was nice enough to tell me it takes a couple of days to process them and it would be mailed out

It makes me sad how we are just waiting waiting waiting. Is there something wrong? Did I do something wrong in responding to the RFE? Mine was requesting to sign off that there was no record . I printed off the actual page from USCIS and checked no. Then apart of that page is asks more questions and I simply said N/A to those three questions along side it as there was no check box and simply said see above. I sent a little letter our circumstances of meeting sent receipts, boarding passes I could find . Itineraries copies of both our passports.. Did I do something wrong? Why are we still waiting the end of the month and everyone else that had RFE's are approved ?

I called and spoke to a Tier 2 rep just now. They have everything they need and I should receive the decision in less than 21 days from today. That is much better that the 5 more weeks that I have according to the web page. I hope that I am one of the lucky ones that gets approved the day after calling the Tier 2 people.

Good luck! It was good just to know that someone was alive at the CSC and that the zombies had not completely taken over. So nice to hear a human voice saying everything would be ok soon.

Hey guys it took almost 3 wks (off by one day) for approval after RFE response and I got the approval on Friday Night.. still hope for tonight
