No, the instructions say you need to prove you have sufficient income OR financial resources to ensure the alien are sponsoring will not become a public charge in the USA. If you have proof that you make sufficient income (ie pay stubs, employment letter, and tax return), you don't also need a bank statement. If you don't have income, then you must provide a bank statement showing you have sufficient financial resources.

I just wanted to let you guys know...I got my letter in the mail from the nvc yesterday. They received my petition on oct 1. I checked the status today & it's "ready". Unfortunately, we can't do anything until Matt has his passport. His interview for that is in two weeks, so I'm hoping he can schedule his medical for the second week in November. As soon as he has his passport, he's filling out everything else. Fingers crossed for a November interview!

Hey Honey how long was it from the NOA2 until you got the letter from NVC. Can you be exact please. Loll the timeline gets me all confused.

Hi everyone. I have a question. Did any of you receive a notice email, text or status change on USCIS website when NVC received your approval? Did you just wait for a notification in the mail?

Thank you

USCIS will not notify you when NVC has received your approval. NVC notifies you by regular mail. You can also call NVC to ask if they've received it yet. The best time to call NVC is 7 AM ET M-Friday. Calling them at other times of the day you will a) have more difficulty getting through to them b) be on hold for a long time when you do get through.

It depends on your country. With us, Matt has to schedule his medical, full out his ds160, his readiness form & within a week or so he'll get a letter with his appointment. Unfortunately, he waited too long to get his passport & won't have that til nov. So we are waiting on that.

I am the petitioner.

Hi everyone. I got approved on September 24th. After 30 minutes of waiting this morning, someone from NVC told me the case was not in their system yet and that I should give it a few more weeks. This fact is kind of a blessing in disguise. I lost my full time job last month and I have been job searching since. I was wondering how six months to a year contract jobs, temp to permanent hire jobs look in the affidavit of support? Before I lost my job, I met all the qualification needed for financial support. Also will being healthy, young and having a Master's degree show them that I have potential and that I won't rely on the government for assistance?

Thanks f in advance or any help and suggestion provided

After over a month of Trying to get Ollie's letter of intent here via royal post and then parcel force we officially got a notice that CSC has received our RFE response and is now going forward with making a decision. This wait is torturous! But at least that is one step down.
