hello can someone please help me i got my noa1 on April 1 got transferd on August 11 to California then got transferd again on September 30 back to Texas and still waiting did this happend to anyone else

thnx for readin

I would call USCIS and ask about the status of your application. When I was transferred and didn't receive a printed notice I called and found out everything I needed to know about where my application was and what the status was. The number to contact them should be on your notice of transfer. Just my two cents.

A journey of 2855KM begins with a single step.

I know this is probably off topic but does anyone know how soon you can contact NVC for a case number and exactly how you contact NVC? I'm a little confused about what happens next in the process after NOA2. I don't want to be sitting on my a** when there could be steps I can take to get through the next phase as quickly as possible. If anyone has links to any threads about this and could point me in the right direction that would be great! And for everyone who got an RFE, keep hanging in there. :)

Hello,

From what I read it can take any where from 1-2 weeks up to 1 month for the file to make it to the NVC. Mine took almost 3 weeks, but they seem to be sending it out to the embassy within a week or so after processing. The number for NVC is 603-334-0700. The best times to call are around 7am EST (opening time) and after 10pm (they close at midnight EST). If you call outside of this you may keep getting the busy signal. In the meantime, you should definitely start preparing your documents that will be needed for the interview.

One of the helpful places to look is your embassy's page (Montreal or Vancouver). I was going to attach the link but not sure which one your going to be interviewing at :). You should see a tab on visajourney titled "Embassy Info". Click that, find your embassy, and review the information that's there. What they require for the interview varies by country. I also found the K1 guide very helpful:

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

Others have said things start moving pretty quickly after the NOA2, which is good :)

On another note, Congratulations to all the recently approved and those that will soon be approved!

Hey guys,

I'm happy to hear about the other approvals! Let's keep our fingers crossed for a quick transfer to the next step :) I have a question. I'm done filling out the I134. I send this to my fiance to take with him to the consulate, right? I am including an employer letter, two pay stubs, and last year's tax return. Do I have to include a letter from the bank, or is that enough? Thanks!

Hello :-) The letter from the bank is NOT needed if you qualify with income. If your income is enough you don't need to present statements from the banks or show you have other assets.

I had my interview last month and the employer letter, tax return and pay stubs were enough.

That's good to know. I just sent my lawyer an email asking about that. I sent my RFE reply last week so I am expecting an approval within the next 2 weeks and am getting my things in order. I alway feel better waiting on them when I am well prepared.

I know mike! Ready to move on. Have you guys been approved since mailing in your stuff?

Nothing yet. Looks like the average is 5-17 days for an RFE in California. They just notified me that they received it only 2 days ago, so it's still early.
