I was anxious so I called NVC again tonight. Was on hold for about 45 minutes but it was worth it ;). The person I spoke with didn't find my case in the system but because I'm just over the 2 week mark he suggested the following:

Send an email to nvcresearch@state.gov. Write the SRC# in the subject line.

Scan the NOA2 approval notice you received and attach it to the email.

This should prompt them to research the whereabouts of the case.

Not sure if anyone else was advised to do this, but thought it would be helpful to share.

OMG I just got my approval!!!! That's all I can say right now I am so elated and excited! Trying to reach Mikey but I have to keep calling. :D

Congratulations!!

It seems that every two weeks or so they ship out a batch to the nvc. The last I'm seeing here were sept 9th...so I'd think mine will get sent next week. As long as I have it by the first full week of Oct I won't stress, cuz Matt can't do anything for another week (just had surgery). I'll try calling them by the end of this week. But, everyone keep us posted of nvc calls! If someone around my time got sent, then mine likely did too! :)

I am the petitioner.

Hey, I have a question. Did you get another status update on the USCIS website saying that your case has been sent to NVC? Or did it never change again? Because my NOA2 date is September 8 and my case status is still just saying that our petition has been approved.

Thank you for your help.

Hi, the website was having problem couple weeks ago ... it was shown we were approved on sept. 04,.but a week later it return back to Initial Review. .. we didnt care abt it as by that time we already received the hard copy for our NOA2... until yesterday (before my fiance received the mail fm NVC), it still shows initial review ... so i dont check on that anymore after.. its hopeless... i dont know abt others, but my case, never changed!

I called yesterday evening and spoke with someone at NVC, they told me that there was no record as of yet-NOA2 on Sept 11th. Also stated that it could take up to 5 weeks at times. Said to call back later, I'm sure by next Friday, file should be received at that point!!

Yeah, I again called last night and they hadn't received mine yet. The man told me up to 25 days. Funny how they can't be consistent with their info!

By the way, I don't recommend calling 11 pm ET Friday night. I figured the wait would be short since who wants to call a government agency Friday night?? Apparently many do! Busy signal 2 times then on hold 50 minutes. Much quicker doing it at 7 am ET.

How do you know where your case was transferred to?

Most people on this thread received a transfer notification in the mail stating they have been transferred to California. Some didn't receive anything in the mail and they had to contact uscis to know where it has been transferred.

I got RFE letter from USCIS yesterday. They dont need any envidences more, just because we did not complete Part 2 - question 14 and Criminal record ( Page 5 , part 3 Question 2 & 3 -we did not tick "No" ) of form I-129F.

I think next Monday my boyfriend will complete these and send back to CSC. Hope we can get approved after 1 week. ^.^
