Barron, glad to see that your checks cashed, but no email/text confirmation yet?!

Pickle, I didn't submit form G1145. I go down to the post office twice a day but so far no letters. Just waiting....

Oh no, sorry to hear that! Good news is that the form only applies to text/email notification for when they receive your package. Once you receive your NOA hard copies, you can set up an account on the USCIS website and get status updates from then on :)

Did my walk in today at the Lawrence, Ma field office.

I didn't even tell the lady I was doing a walk in, just handed the papers and she gave me a number. The whole process took about 20-30 min. But that's a small office, just a few rooms. I was lucky to assigned to this office instead of the Boston one, that must be much busier.

This is also where my interview will be so I had a glance at the staff and made me feel better.

Now waiting for the Interview appt. letter, which for people on the "July fillers" post seemed to take around 10-20 days.

Hey neighbor, I guess we're kinda on the same boat then. What are you adjusting from?

And like I said on my earlier post just now, you should be getting the Interview appt. letter around in 10-20 days. :)

Yes, It's gonna be the one they scheduled for your Biometrics. You could walked it into any office for the biometrics, but the interview's gotta be on the one they said so, which if it was the one you were scheduled for the biometrics.. its gonna be it.

On the USCIS website you can see that deepening on where you live, your office is already pre-determined by your zip-code.

I'm a late July filer so I guess I should join this topic. My case moved fairly fast at the beginning until I change my address online (see my timeline). I guess my case was put back in the queue as I move to a different state. The effect of changing address (and perhaps moving back and forth between Testing/Interview and Initial Review) is 14 days of more waiting I assume.

However, I asked everyone on this forum awhile back about where my interview would take place (I and my wife live separately for now as I go to school in different state). Most answers were saying that interview should take place near the location I report as domicile in my package (I file my wife's address as domicile). If that is the case, then why USCIS shifts my case back from Testing/Interview to Initial Review when I change my address. Please note that I only change the address for I-485, I-765 and I-131 (since my wife is still staying where she's at) . Anyone is familiar with this? is the interview is going to be scheduled at the office near my location right now?

Thanks

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is my timeline (AOS from F1):

July 28 - Day 0 : Mailed the package

July 30 - Day 2: Package arrived, Signed GLws

August 1 - Day 4: Text/email of acceptance

August 3 - Day 6: Hard copies of NOAs

August 10 - Day 13: Mail regarding biometrics appointment for August 24

August 15 - Day 18: Biometrics walk-in successful in DIFFERENT location, took 10 minutes

August 27 - Day 30: Case status moved to Testing/Interview

September 2 - Day 36: Change address online AR-11

September 9 - Day 43: Case status (I-485) moved back to Initial Review

September 10 - Day 44: Case status moved again to Testing/Interview

Welcome! I don't think any of us can definitely answer your question since we are all new to this process too. However, my guess would be that they will use your new address information to schedule your appointment. I might be completely off, but that makes sense to me. Once you receive your letter in the mail stating your date and time of interview, let us know where they scheduled the appointment. Good luck to you!
