Can another attorney in the same office fill his spot? I would be hesitant to reschedule- just because you don't know when the new interview date would be. If your case has red flags, I could understand why you would want the specific lawyer you hired to attend the interview with you. But if you aren't worried about your case, I would think another attorney would be sufficient or simply going in on your own. Then again, we haven't had our interview. We hit the six month mark yesterday. Best of luck!

Hey sorry about the delayed response. Unfortunately, the lawyer couldn't get out of the other interview so we decided that we'll go just ourselves. The lawyer said that should be fine since we don't have any red flags in our case.

I just want to say 'thank you' to everyone that took the time to post their interview experiences. Our interview is this Monday and the anxiety is almost unbearable. Reading how well everyone's went helps a lot. Even though there shouldn't be any problems, it's still stressful going through the process and you all are a great support! Congratulations to those who made it through and to those who haven't yet, hang in there!

Yay we've been approved! Such a relief! Thank you, everyone for your support and advice! It helped a great ton! We had our interview yesterday morning at 10am. We arrived about 10 minutes before and went through security fairly quickly. As soon as we dropped off our appointment letter, we weren't waiting more than 3 minutes by the time someone called us in. Our interviewer was very friendly and courteous. He asked us questions confirming information on the I-485 but nothing too beyond that. He did ask how our parents felt about our two cultures merging together, which is a non-issue. He asked us if we had anything else to show him to prove our "co-mingling", which prompted me to pull out our pile of forms which we've accumulated over the past year that we've been married (we filed late). He skimmed through them but when I asked if he needed any photos, he nicely responded, "no". At times, he even joked with us and time just flew by. Overall, it lasted about an hour but it could've been less if I hadn't spent time asking him about changing my full name, which he gave us some really valuable advice on. We definitely over prepared but it's better than under preparing. I would say as nerve wracking as this whole process can be, just try to be yourselves and everything should be fine.
