Biometrics took 15 minutes at maximum. Only thing needed was passport and the appointment letter. Now we wait....

12/05/2013 - Arrived on J1 Status

03/28/2014 - Married <3

08/08/2014 - Sent i-130, i-485, i-131, i-765 to Chicago Lockbox (day 00)

08/11/2014 - USCIS received package. (day 03)

08/18/2014 - NOA Hard Copy for i-485, i-130, I-131 and i-765 (day 10)

08/22/2014 - Biometrics Appoiment Notice for 09/03/2014 (day 14)

09/03/2014 - Biometrics done (day 26)

11/06/2014 - i-485 changed to Testing and Interview (day 85)

11/10/2014 - EAD Approved (day 89)

11/10/2014 - Interview scheduled to 12/11/2014

11/18/2014 - EAD in hands

12/11/2014 - Interview - Basically approved on the spot. Received text messages saying card/document production 30 minutes later

I finally got the notice emails/texts, they said my case has been routed to national benefits center.

Waiting, hard copy in the mail.

10/06/2014 Day 38: EAD card in production

Endofitness, everyone's cases go to the NBC first. Once you get your NOA's in the mail, check your status online. It will show to which service center your case was sent to. Mine was sent to Nebraska Service Center (from what I've read here on VJ, they are very slow). It will be interesting to hear where everyone's cases are going, so let us know!

02/25/19: Receive interview letter (April 8 )

04/08/19: Interview, approved!

04/12/19: Oath scheduled for April 26

Mine was also sent to the Nebraska Service Center, USCIS Web site gives a processing time of 4 months.

Yes, it does, and it gave me a glimmer of hope after I read here on VJ of people waiting way longer than that. Even though it will be wonderful if all our cases get processed that fast, I guess it really doesn't matter at this point. We are here in the US--unlike others that are waiting outside the country away from their loved ones--and there is nothing really we can do but wait. Let's hope we can all go through this without issues though!

I think the Service Center where it was sent to, doesn't really matter. I think they process it and send to the local office, and it is up to the local office being busy or not.

I thought so too when I started this and was actually freaking out when I saw my local office is soooo behind. You might be right, but from what I can gather here from VJ not everyone's cases are processed at the local office (it does go there for the interview step though of course). I actually started a thread about that here on VJ. Only had one response though, but it confirmed what I've seen on timelines where other's cases were processed at the service centers. Something else that I have read on here is that you will get a notification if or when your case goes to your local office, so it will change online from Something Service Center to Local Office. The person that responded to my post said that cases that need more attention go to your local office, or if they need to ease the workload at service centers. I guess we will find out for ourselves in a few months how this really works!

You guys, this thread is what's keeping me going. I don't know why all of a sudden I have become impatient but I guess it's the fear of the unknown. I am crossing fingers for all of us so we can get through this with ease and quickly.
