So I received my interview date a few days ago, 1/12/2015, but now my lawyer wants to reschedule because he has another interview the same day in another town! Do you think this is a valid reason? It doesn't sound like the interview's so bad so we may need to go without the lawyer. It just sucks because we already paid him and he won't be able to fulfill his end of the deal.

Can another attorney in the same office fill his spot? I would be hesitant to reschedule- just because you don't know when the new interview date would be. If your case has red flags, I could understand why you would want the specific lawyer you hired to attend the interview with you. But if you aren't worried about your case, I would think another attorney would be sufficient or simply going in on your own. Then again, we haven't had our interview. We hit the six month mark yesterday. Best of luck!

Wishing all of your luck on your immigration journeys.

We had our interview today. Officer was very nice and professional. Went over the info on the applications and she asked us questions about how and when we met, how was the wedding, and what we like to do together.

She then said that everything looks in order and nothing to worry about. She said she wanted her supervisor to review it one more time and will send us update via mail and we should expect an answer next year.

Sounds like a straight forward approval. To expect an answer next year is being dramatic isn't it? After all next year is only 17 days away ?
