I have my interview on the 18th and after reading that story I got nervous, I really shouldn't be as we have been dating for 5 years, still reading the more complicated ones does make you think if you have all the documents and proof they need.

5 YEARS!?!? Relax, you'll be fine. ;)

I'm the one that should be nervous, like the couple on that post, we also married after 5 months.. :cry:

Naturalization (on basis of military service)

 

10/2/2020 - Mailed paper application to military specific Chicago Lockbox.

10/19/2020 - Case "received and accepted" according to the online tracker.

10/21/2020 - Text/letter receipt received.

08/11/2021 - Interview scheduled: Sept 14th.

09/14/2021 - Interview + Oath at the Montgomery Office.

 

I-130 (for my spouse)

 

09/23/2021 - Filed online.

09/29/2021 - Received receipt letter for I-130.

09/30/2021 - Filed I-129F through the mail.

10/12/2021 - Received receipt letter for I-129F.

12/17/2021 - AR Status change.

01/12/2022 - I-130 Approved.

01/13/2022 - I-129F Denied.

How did you get your EAD? In your mailbox? Lucky you, here's my story (I'll keep it short). I got an email this evening from USCIS. There wasn't anything in the mailbox today so I was confused why they send me an email about my I-765. Email said it was delivered...no it wasn't!! Check USPS...yup it was...at my old address. WHY USCIS?! I got all the confirmations when I changed my address more than two months ago! I drive to my old address (this is at 8 in the evening). Nope, she did not get any mail (but USPS website said it was delivered?!). Drive back home in tears. Lady called, her son through junk mail in the trash, so she went outside to see if my mail was with it...sure enough it was! I had to drive back at 9 at night (well probably did not have to, but couldn't wait until tomorrow!). Spend an hour on the road tonight just to get my card (as opposed to walking to my mailbox in 5 seconds).

So that is where I got my EAD, in the trash at my old house.

Naturalization:

12/13/18: File online application

12/15/18: Receive notification for biometrics appointment (no date)

12/31/18: Biometrics

02/25/19: Receive interview letter (April 8 )

04/08/19: Interview, approved!

04/12/19: Oath scheduled for April 26 

04/26/19: Oath Ceremony! 🇺🇸

 

ROC:

04/26/17:  Sent ROC package

04/27/17:  Package received

05/20/17:  Biometrics letter received

06/02/17:  Biometrics

08/22/18:  Card being produced

 

AOS from F1 visa:

08/16/14: Sent AOS package: I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131

Hey all, does anyone know if, when your interview has been scheduled, if your case status online changes to "interview has been scheduled on such ans such a date ", prior to receiving the letter via snail mail? I am put of town until the new year and have someone checking my mail, and would love to know ahead of time that the letter is on its way. Thanks all!

Yes Meagan, your status on the USCIS website states that you have been mailed a notice for your interview on xx-month-year. That way you can keep an eye on it online as well as the person, on the look out for the formal letter in the mail.

08/18/2014 - NOA Hard Copy for i-485, i-130, I-131 and i-765 (day 10)

08/22/2014 - Biometrics Appoiment Notice for 09/03/2014 (day 14)

09/03/2014 - Biometrics done (day 26)

11/06/2014 - i-485 changed to Testing and Interview (day 85)

11/10/2014 - EAD Approved (day 89)

11/10/2014 - Interview scheduled to 12/11/2014

11/18/2014 - EAD in hands

12/11/2014 - Interview - Basically approved on the spot. Received text messages saying card/document production 30 minutes later
