Hey guys, so today i had the interview at 8:45 am, i was so nervous that i barely slept, so we went to the office at 8:30 and the officer called us 15 min later, to be honest a lot of the pfficer had a mean look in their face lol but this one looked nice, so when we get inside the office he made us swear that we was going to tell the truth and started.
It was so easy!! like talking to a new friend, he asked us how me meet and between the conversation he just asked some dates, how many times i came to the country before, how we decided to get married, and my husband told him about his travels to colombia, he didn't had to ask too much because we was telling him our history toguether and my husband was telling jokes all the time making the officer laugh so everything was relaxed, then he asked to give him our passports, our birth certificates, my divorce decree so he can compare with the copies he had with the rest of my file, he never asked me for more evidence of the relationship just check all the forms in front of us and then i handle him the pictures i brought with me, he barely saw it, and check the pictures i send before with the package in august, then he proceded to ask the no questions and at the end he just handle us a letter saying that my case was held for review, but he told us that he would do it at the afternoon and that i already got my green card, that i had to wait 20 days for it and thats all!
I can't believe it we made it! so something that really really help me out was that i send pictures, and all the copies and information super organized when i applied so the guy didnt have to ask for any copies again.
I hope the rest of the guys that still are waiting for a interview date get it soon and good luck to the rest who are close to the interview date!

Congrats Sandy! Let me know when your card goes to production, mine still hasn't updated online yet & I also had my interview at oakland park today :)

Didn't you say though that your 3 months are today? Then you should be able to do the request now, no? Was your RFE for initial or additional evidence? Either way, I hope you get some news on your EAD soon.

Haha never mind, just got a double update on my phone; I-765 & I-131 APPROVED! If I go by everyone else's timeline, it should arrive in about one week.

Ahhhh it feels good to see everything flowing..

Question; when I get my social with the I-765, am I going to keep that forever, or do I have to get a new one with the green card?

Congrats! I am happy for you that you did not have to go through the whole service request thing! I bet you are relieved.

I am a little sad, because someone else that I was "waiting with" also got approved today, so now I think I am literally the last August filer who has not heard a thing about my EAD. I think the October filers are probably now passing me too!

I am not sure if your SSN will say "with DHS authorization only" or not (which in that case you will have to get a new one once GC is approved). People who have gotten one after they got their EAD's can chime in here :)

Congrats again!! Enjoy this feeling!

Hang in there, for a while I also thought that they had lost my file in some dark drawer.

Do you, or anyone else here, know how far my "powers" with the EAD card goes? Can I get a get a driver's license? I actually already have one, but I got it with my F-1 VISA, which I can't use to renew.

Thank you, I appreciate the encouragement :)

If your DMV accepts EAD's as a document to renew a driver's license, your driver's license will only be valid for as long as your EAD is valid. If you are running out of time as far as your current driver's license expiration date goes, it seems like you won't have an option--otherwise wait until you have your GC.

Nah, it expires in April. I should be fine.

Oh yes you will definitely be fine since your interview is so soon :)

I decided not to watch that. Maybe that's being ignorant, but my blood was boiling already when I was reading articles about it the other day. I will read about it today I guess. I was just so upset about my EAD/AP that I didn't need extra nonsense on top of that.

Had our interview today, very easy to talk to the official. She asked US the information on our I-130, our spouses names,D.O.B. where I was from, what she got me for my birthday and vice versa, then she asked US both to tell our story and asked a few easy questions while we talked, asked if had any photos, she kept a couple For our file, at the end she told she has enough information and she had made her decision and that I was approved! All said and done we where there for 40 minutes. We were definitely over prepared she didn't as to see any of our original documents that where already submitted, just passport and ID's. Don't stress folks if you haven't received any RFE's it should be smooth sailing. Thank you all for support on our journey.

I just received my combo EAD/AP card too. No interview info given though :( Does that mean I will be interviewed? Also, I read here on VJ that some people had to wait a couple of weeks for their names to appear on the CBP system for them to get a social security number. Did you have any issues applying for one?

I'm curious about this as well. Got my EAD card today and am looking to apply for a ssn# on Monday. I read that you need to bring at least 2 documents providing proof of immigration status. I only have the EAD card as I've yet to get scheduled an interview for a green card yet. Is this enough? What documents did you all bring to apply for a ssn#?

You should wait atleast two weeks before applying for SSN and Drivers license. It takes awhile for their system to update.
