any dallas AOS filers ? still waiting for interview date . filed in august 6 receive my EAD on hand october 2 and case moved to testing and interview in oct 15 . my case been process in nebraska please any idea for how long i will get my interview notice

Hi bosstx,

I am a Dallas filer. I don't have very good news for you. Dallas is extremely backed up right now. If you look at previous months, people who filed in February and March 2013 are just now getting their interviews in October and November 2013. There is a eight month delay, so, unless Dallas gets their stuff in order, you are probably looking at interview sometime in March/April 2014. Sorry to be the bearer of the bad news.

When I was at the Dallas field office this month for my interview, they told me that they've been hiring new officers to help with the backlog. Hopefully that addresses the backlog situation.

My case got expedited for military reasons. If you are a military family and if your spouse is deployed, I suggest pursuing an expedite through the military hotline.

Best wishes to you.

08/20/2014 (Day 19) Early biometrics walk in successful

08/26/2014 (Day 25) Scheduled biometric appointment

08/29/2014 (Day 28) Case status for I485 changes to "testing and interview"

10/02/2014 (Day 62) EAD changed to card production, AP changed to post decision activity, Interview got expedited to October 14th, 2014 due to military reasons

10/09/2014 (Day 69) EAD card was mailed and received tracking number

Welcome here! Someone actually started a thread for Dallas filers. Unfortunately there was not a lot of responses, but I think you can get an idea and maybe post your timeline on there too for others: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/515180-dallas-aos-filerstimelines-2013-2014/ Also you can find other members filing at Dallas by clicking on the "Dallas TX" link under "local office" on your post.

No one can give you an accurate time frame for when you will receive your interview notice. Some was in "Testing and Interview" for a few days before receiving their interview notice, others were in that stage for months before getting an interview. You can get an idea though by looking at other Dallas filers' time lines. Good luck with the waiting!

thanks for the info pickle !

Little udpdate: my EAD is pending for more than 75 days (with no RFE and stuff) so I can create what hey call an Approaching Regulatory Timeframe “service request”, because it is getting close to the 90 days that they have as a limit to issue it.

First time ever calling the service center..... terrible.... I mean, I know that I don't speak English perfectly but at least I don't work on a call center...the operator that helped me had the worst accent ever. Terrible to understand her. But whatever, now I created this request and I'll hopefully hear from USCIS soon

12/05/2013 - Arrived on J1 Status

03/28/2014 - Married <3

08/08/2014 - Sent i-130, i-485, i-131, i-765 to Chicago Lockbox (day 00)

08/11/2014 - USCIS received package. (day 03)

08/18/2014 - NOA Hard Copy for i-485, i-130, I-131 and i-765 (day 10)

08/22/2014 - Biometrics Appoiment Notice for 09/03/2014 (day 14)

09/03/2014 - Biometrics done (day 26)

11/06/2014 - i-485 changed to Testing and Interview (day 85)

11/10/2014 - EAD Approved (day 89)

11/10/2014 - Interview scheduled to 12/11/2014

11/18/2014 - EAD in hands

12/11/2014 - Interview - Basically approved on the spot. Received text messages saying card/document production 30 minutes later

And the waiting continues. Hope you get good news soon, let us know. I guess I will be calling soon as well. I made that call with my previous EAD, and it was not a pleasant experience. I was hoping I can avoid it this time.
