Hi All

I would be moving on CR1 visa (Green Card) by the end of August 2014. I am a computer engineer by graduation qualification and Masters in Management studies from India with overall 5 years of professional work experience.

Had a few queries about career prospect in NC :

- What are the possible platforms to search for professional jobs related to Human Resource in USA?

- Is it easier to find jobs related to HR or Business Analyst in any IT firm?

- What kind of salary should one expect?

Any pointers are highly appreciated

Check out monster.com, indeed.com, careerbuilder.com. Check out craigslist.org, but be careful of scams there. It is free, so many jobs use it in a pinch, but fake things can also be put there.

Check out salary.com for an estimate of salary in that area.

It's not even comparable that there are far more IT jobs.

Also, the IT average salary should be higher.

Hi Puja,

I live in Charlotte, and we have numerous major employers in financial services. They are always looking for IT and BA folks, so maybe start there. I have also seen a few meetup groups geared towards IT professionals, but I have never researched in depth. I have only known a few people in IT in Charlotte, but they make good salaries. Also, Charlotte is still a reasonably-priced city, so your money will go farther. Good luck!
