I've Finally Become a Member!

After months of surfing this site I've finally decided to become a member. Reading the stories and Visa woes of so many others on this forum have helped me to cope with my Visa nightmare. It's a great support group and I'd like to send out a big thanks to the other members.

My Fiance Fadi and I met in the summer of 2005 in Baghdad, Iraq. I was in the US Military and he was working as a local translator. We worked and lived together in various areas of Iraq for several months and quickly fell in love. When he asked me to marry him I immidiately said yes - even knowing the consequences. I was discharged from the military (not honorably) and we began the arduous Visa process. I returned to the Middle East in the summer of 2006 and Fadi and I lived together in Amman, Jordan for three months awaiting his Visa interview. When I discovered I was pregnant, we both decided it would be best for me to return to the US to await Fadi's Visa approval and subsequent arrival. He had his interview on October 12, 2005 and was approved. We are now waiting out the administrative processing phase and praying he makes it here befor the baby is born in mid-March 2007, but it doesn't look like he'll make it by then

I hope he makes it! That's too bad about the discharge and such. They really make it hard these days to immigrate and get married, etc! We're planning on having a ceremony here for my family and such after he gets here.. if he EVER GETS HERE OH MY GOD.
