I have only stayed in Manila a couple of times, So I am not familiar with the area.

I only know EuroTel on Pedro Gil street in Ermita.

Is this place close to SLEC?

I think Eurotel runs about 2300 peso per day. Any suggestions for a cheaper hotel/better hotel closer to SLEC.

We stayed at Soriente Hotel, it's just walking distance to SLEC, we paid about 2,000 pesos per day for the room then 300 pesos for extra bed.

Casa Bocobo is just a block away from SLEC, roughly a 5-10 minute walk... I had my fiancee stay there during her 3-day sputum test and she liked it... it was about P2k a night for the petite room, and I think they have a special deal going...

Casa bocobo is just walking distance going to SLEC. And stuff there was really nice and it is clean hotel 2, 500 peso per day. But, if you want cheapest also and clean. Hostel 1632 Adriatico Street, Malate Manila is cheapest is just more than 1, 500 per night just only 15 to 20minutes ride going to SLEC.

We stayed at the Palm Plaza which is a decent hotel. It is also right next to the Robinson's Manila mall on Pedro Gill. Rates for rooms were decent, the A/C worked well and plenty of hot water :)

We stayed at Hotel Soriente and found the accommodations were good for our needs. Wife met a few Filipino ladies and still keeps in touch. Close to USEM and SLEC. Walking distance to the mall.

... Mabini Mansion on Mabini Street just off UN Avenue ... 5 min walk from the US Embassy ... big rooms with high ceiling and kitchen ... USD32 per night.
