Another I-129F Question

I know the I-129F needs to be filled by the USC but what if the USC can't read or write in their fiance's native NON Roman alphabet such as Arabic, Chineese, Korean, etc etc etc? Can I have a friend fill that part out? Or does it have to be done by me? I have no clue how to write in Cambodia. I can proberly copy it if my friend writes it down for me but I'm sure I'll mess up in the address part as it's quite long.

Or can the forgein fiance fill that part out?

I had him write in Arabic. Not sure if that was the right thing, but that was what I did. Maybe I will get a RFE for it. But I filled everything else out except writing in his non Roman alphabet. Anyone else have input on this?

Your has to sign the document, so have them write that section in their native language. If that's not possible than do like some others have in the past and go to your local cambodian market or restaurant and have one of the employees write the name in Cambodian. The authentic signature is most important, I think.

In my case my Fiance speaks mandarin. She was able to e-mail me her name and address in her native language and I could copy & paste into the PDF (a regular browser supports that if you set language encoding under the "view" menu). I sense the address in the native language is most important, if I sent correspondence with the address in english it has little chance of arriving.

You could also consider an on-line translator like alta vista bablefish http://babelfish.altavista.com/ .

For me, I did actually need to send a package overseas, for a signature on the G-325a, which requires an authentic signature (I believe). This can be used as an opportunity for the other person to review and complete forms as well.

The non USC doesn't sign the I-129F he signs the G-325a. I hired a lawyer before I knew about VJ and he just left question 16 blank, and Hassan signed the G-325a in english and arabic. It got approved just fine.

If a question is asked, answer it.

If you need the assistance of someone more familiar with the language there is no harm in that. It would be in your best interest to use someone trustworthy.

I email my fiance the letter of Intent and the G-325a and had her signed/filled that part out and send it over. Had one of my friend filled question #16 out. The thought didn't come in till after I send the petition. I hope this isn't going to affect anything. Cambodian isn't an option in Babel Fish and my Internet browser doesn't support it either. Hope the USCIS understands not all US Citizens can copy/paste all Non Roman alphabet.

I really don't think it will matter, so don't worry about it. The most important thing on that form is your signature and the check. They won't care that one section of the form was done by someone else. For all they know it could have been done by your fiance, which would make a lot of sense. It would be terribly unreasonable to expect the US citizen to know some languages (such as mandarin, korean, arabic, etc) well enough to accurately write it.

I had him to sign and also he just wrote on seperate paper so i would have copy for what i dont know but now i have it

We had the same problem. I filled out everything I could and then sent the form to Ahmed with post it flags and specific instructions on where I needed him to write in Arabic. You could also have a friend do it, if they are fluent in the written language. Hope this helps, and good luck for a speedy approval!
