My wifes 2005 income tax did not meet the current 125% guideline but since she got a new job and making more and am also working how income is now above the 125% so much. I am afraid that they may want to go more with the last tax rather than our current income which is way above the 125%. Has anywa one gone thru this as well? Please help!!!!

What will your 2006 taxes show as income?

Have you applied for AOS yet?

You can attach items such as paystubs and letters from employers to your affidavit of support, if you believe that they will help support your case.

My interview is just end of this month so there is no way my 2006 income tax can come into it.

Well,

If I were you, I would fill out a new affidavit of support, bring in 6 months pays stubs (or whatever you are able to provide) and letters from your employers. Then hope for the best. If your current income is high enough, that is what they are mainly looking for. If that's not good enough, then they will give you time to come up with a co-sponsor. Not much else you can do at this point, other than prepare what you can for the interview.

Bring your 2006 W-2s also. You should have them by then.

however my previous tax retruns showed my income from my job

since i quit my job and made myself a self-emplyed consultant i showed a spreadsheet of the income to date (month by month) and gave a list of all my clients with the project amounts.

although we dont have visa in hand yet, the financials didnt come into question at the interview.

My suggestion is to have something similar prepared for submission.

A full spreadsheet of your expenses to date (with the new job) as well as your paystubs showing the amounts, or if its direct depositied i would get your bank statements showing those deposits

However, when you complete the financial papers showing your income calculations (i864 etc) its going to go by your last income tax retrun. so - you would have to make some kind of case to use the above info to meet the guidleines.

easiest solution would be to find a sponsor (your parents?)

this way you dont have to argue your case to use your more recent job to qualify, you can just complete the papers for sponsorship.
