Hi

I finally got a biometrics appointment (filed AOS & EAD back in August) for 30th Jan in Charlotte, NC.

Basically, i got my local congress rep involved as it was taking far longer than it should. So one day the office called stating that they had recieved a fax from USCIS which was a biometrics appointment notice on 01/08/06. Then while i was on the phone, she informed me she just received an email stating that my EAD was approved back on Dec 12,2006.

Basically, it said that even though it was approved it is awaiting my biometrics.

Can anyone tell me how soon i should receive my EAD once my biometrics is done?

It seems like they forgot about my biometrics which is why this has happened?

Thank-You

Since you are only pending biometrics, it should happen pretty quick. Just keep an eye on your online status and if necessary do a follow up a week after if no change.

Yes...your congressional liason should be able to give you a very good estimate, ask them.

There is no way to tell but you can only wait for the 90 days to go by before contacting.

Hi

Thanks for your replies.

The only question i have is what 90 days are you talking about??? I applied way back in August...well over 90 days..my EAD was already approved prior to biometrics in December.

They obviously forgot about my biometrics as my appointment is for 30th Jan...almost 6 months after i applied.

Something very similar happened to my wife recently. We applied for both AOS and EAD last May and although we understand that the green card can take so long we should have heard something on the EAD, so we made an INFOPASS appt. and they told us that the EAD was approved months ago and that we should have received a notice telling us to go for a 2nd biometrics appt. We never received that notice, so she had us go immediately to the place where we had the first biometrics and then we'll get the EAD. We would have had no way of knowing what was going on if we had not made an INFOPASS appt. The phoneline service was useless for getting any real information.
