So I was reviewing this list:

It all looked fine, except it says to bring fingerprints to the interview? It says they'll tell you when, where, and how... but they never even mentioned the thing about needing a reference number for Loomis so I was wondering if that was another one of those things they just don't mention. When did you do fingerprints? Where? Thanks in advance!

01/11/2013 - Received NOA1 letter in mail
02/05/2013 - NOA2 (Approved) but update is not reflected anywhere
02/19/2013 - Received NOA2 letter in mail

NVC
03/06/2013 - AOS fee invoice received
04/18/2013 - AOS fee paid
04/21/2013 - AOS paperwork mailed

01/06/2014 - Supporting documents requested

06/24/2014 - Mailed supporting documents

07/03/2014 - Email verifying documents were received

07/10/2014 - Received interview date

08/11/2014 - Scheduled medical

08/15/2014 - Scheduled interview date (APPROVED!)

08/18/2014 - Visa status changes to ISSUED on CEAC website

08/19/2014 - Waybill # for Loomis arrives in e-mail

08/20/2014 - Visa/Passport ready for pick up early morning

Well that list seems a little off... Passport photo of each of you? As far as i know, they only asked for my photos (the beneficiary). They did take my digital fingerprints at the consulate when my husband filed the petition, and i believe they do retake digital fingerprints at the interview. Maybe it is different from country to country?

Anyone care to confirm?

I hope that's the case, thank you! Since we're IR-1 and they only let the interviewee into the Consulate due to limited space, it seems like there should be quite a bit there that doesn't apply to us. Digital fingerprints are totally fine, happy to hear they take them there. We've had such a nightmare process with all the forms and getting supporting documents that I just don't want another delay. Thank you!

The USA Citizen can come into the consulate if they wish.......With regards to fingerprints....unless things have changed...only those with a criminal record require fingerprinting.......No criminal record = no fingerprints required. At the consulate,they take digital finger prints

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I just posted elsewhere about my fingerprints, general info I think but anyway cN anyone confirm about fingerprinting? My problem is that I don't have enough fingerprint to do them digitally or otherwise.....I have letter form the local police station verifying this. Yes, it's weird but I am worried a problem later?? I have no record of any sort. At what stage are they taken and by which side home country or the U.S. ???
