I'm to the point that I struggle to find words to describe how I feel about this process anymore.

My fiance and I are new filers - July 2 - but at this rate I'm losing hope fast that this is going to be adjudicated faster than I lose my mind over it. I've tried to scale back - my fiance and I agreed to check the case status together, only once, on the weekends that we spend on Skype.

To begin with - being told we have to let another person who knows nothing about us make the decision that we can be together (arguing it's our choice for the USA doesn't help, no matter what someone has to decide for us) is just infuriating.

Second, to have the timeline just stomped all over depending on the whim of USCIS, caseload, presidential decrees or whatever the heck is going on this week.

All that is happening is that I am growing angrier by the day - which doesn't bode well, since we only just began this process and we have a long wait.

The imbalance at CSC vs TSC infuriates me, the approvals of new filers while old filers wait infuriates me, the inability of congressmen/women to be able to do anything about this infuriates me, the fact that they have no trouble cashing my check quick-time but then take who knows how long to actually do anything about my petition infuriates me, the fact that as a law abiding, tax paying American citizen my request gets equal or less treatment than DACA filers infuriates me... Oh god I could go on and on.

My fiance and I have been long distance for over 5 years, yet this process is just killing any hope I had of us being together within a year from our file date. This is the hardest thing we'll ever do and it's unfortunately being drug through a system that is incredibly flawed.

*mutter* :ranting:

Hang in there! I got NOA2 at 6 months and 2 days. It sucks. But at least it's a better situation than some folks who have been waiting years for spousal visas. Hang in there!

This is not an easy journey. You have to be prepared for the worst! That being said, everyone will be approved sooner or later.. Just hang in there and keep yourself busy. Once you are together it is the greatest thing in your life! It was for me and we waited 5.5 months!

How come WAIT4EVER sent his petition on 14th of the January and got his NOA1 on the 22 of the same month of January and u sent urs the date as his u got ur NOA1 two days after his on the January 24 so u got approved before him so I don't understand the processing time that USCIS is talking about.

According to USCIS website the new processing time for TSC is 6 months now.

:(

I really hope that this issue will be addressed very soon by USCIS leadership.

Petitions don't necessarily get to the service center in the order which they were received. They go in batches, then they get separated and given to different officers. Sometimes security checks take a little longer for others, sometimes adjudicators can go through their batch faster than others. There's a lot of variables to consider! That is why processing times are an average, not an absolute. My petition ended in x7707 and my NOA1 was 1/16, another I-129F petition two numbers before mine, x7705 has an NOA1 of 2/4. Take a look at the petitions around yours, are they in order?

Vickyandmacky you've quoted like 4 of my posts in the past 30 minutes asking the same thing so I'll respond once.

I don't know why I got my NOA2 on a different day than anyone else - I don't delegate the workload at USCIS, I don't control the ins and outs of how they process paperwork. Like any office, there's people who process paperwork manually and some people are faster than others, some people get sick and get behind, some people go on vacation and fall behind, some people have a special project they get assigned to so their regular work goes to the wayside, etc. etc. Also some people have prior histories that require more extensive background checks than other people, some people come from high fraud areas so additional investigation is warranted, etc. etc. All of that contributes to the wacky timeline in which things get processed.

I got through when I did because that's how it happened. Nothing special. There were several people who filed after me that got their NOA2 weeks before me at TSC. There were people who got NOA1 the same days as me and they got NOA2 a week or two before me, some people got it afterwards.

It's annoying, it's disorganized, it's inefficient and frustrating, but it is what it is.

Provided you didn't royally eff up filling our your paperwork, you meet the requirements, and provided you aren't secretly already married or a super scary criminal, you're fine, it'll get processed eventually. Waiting is annoying, it sucks, it's irritating seeing people at CSC complain about waiting 6 weeks when those of us stuck in TSC wait five times that. But, it is what it is. It's only the start of the journey.

This absolutely terrifies me. My fiance and I are filing today and have a wedding date of the 24th May 2015. I'm so so worried that my visa won't arrive in time! He's from the US, i'm from the UK. We have 9 1/2 months for everything to come through. I guess all I can do is hope that it will all get done on time.
