My husband's waiver was approved for the I601a immigration waiver.

The process in Mexico and at the border coming home was not like anything we had read about online or in forums.

I was very glad that I am very detail oriented and brought a lot of additional documents along with other items that we needed.

The hotel choice we made was hands down probably the best choice - and at thetime, we guessed on which one to select.

Juarez was totally different than what we expected based on what we had read beforehand.

We used an immigration consulting firm and they did a good job giving us insight but it still was totally unlike what we expected.

Consultants are generally best avoided, too many horror stories. Glad you were lucky.

What was it that you found so different to what you were expecting?

Not really my interest but I have noticed many first hand accounts on both this site and others.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
