hello again,

Have you received your letter from NVC that indicates your MNL case number?

Since I am planning to have my medical exam few weeks from now and as I have read, it is one of the documents that is needed. It has been two weeks but we haven't received the letter yet. I am not expecting to receive a letter from the Embassy since I have heard that a lot of people don't receive it.

I already printed the appointment confirmation but the MNL Case Number does not appear. I am afraid that I might be sent home for lacking documents.

SLEC asks for a copy of the letter from NVC .... OR..... a copy of your interview confirmation letter/email. Either one.

You can always email NVC requesting the MNL # (yes I know you have it already) and then you will the email from NVC with the MNL # for you records. Details in my link

We received our letter from NVC on the 5th of July after receiving our NOA2 on june 16. my fiancée finished her medical, but strange enough she took both copies of the letters from NVC, one that we received from email and the actual hard copy from the mail. She showed them the one from the email and was told they don't accept the one from email they only accept the hard copy from the mail. Good thing she took both copies with her. We was really shocked because we were told here on vj that they accept the copy from the email. But I have also learned that what happens to some don't apply to all. So who knows.

You will get your hard copy letter from NVC, sometimes it takes a while.

Good luck in the rest of the journey!!!

I called NVC about a week and a half after receiving our NOA 2, it took 2 weeks to get our MNL case number by phone. And 4 days after receiving our case number by phone we received our hard copy in the mail. We received the email copy of our case number late because when we never received the case number by email the first time when we only had our USCIS number, but once we called NVC and got our case number over the phone we emailed them again but this time with the MNL case number and about a week NVC emailed us the letter.

Good luck on the rest of your journey

I hope this helps!!!!

SLEC has no issue with the email from NVC. You show them both of course they will choose the letter. Many have brought just the email from NVC and completed their medical. Most just bring the appointment confirmation page/email/letter for the interview.

I know that's what we thought, but she only showed them the one from the email thinking that should be ok, but was told it was not accepted. They asked her does she have the hard copy we received from the mail and it was a good thing she took both with her. If she had said no she only had the email they would have taken it. No issue as you got everything done and all is good.

Most just use the email confirmation for the interview appointment, but when the embassy was slammed with the expedites those were hard to come by.
