I paid AOS fee on May 20th and filled DS-261 end of May. Its been taking so long but they still haven't let us pay the IV fee. Today, we got an email from them...here is what they said.

Dear Sir/Madam

We are currently recieving an increased number of approved petitons from U.S citizenship and Immigration Services.

As a result, we are experiencing increased review times for documents received.

We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete the review of your documents.

We will notify you when we review your documents.

We are working to reduce these processing times and we appreciate your patience.

So....basically they are saying it will take another 60days to let us pay the fee and process DS-260?

Means it will take more than 3 months to set up the intervies date for us?

Im confused and sooo frustrated....Have anybody received a letter from them like this??

I need to get motivated myself....but its been so hard to get over this!!!

Thanks

I was told by someone on the phone as NVC that DS-261 review still takes 30 business days. So Your IV fee will open up in 6 weeks which is 30 business days. However, the review of the AOS package & IV package takes 60 days total from the time they received it.
