Idk, Todd Akin was elected to something, and Rosie, is a doofus who had a television show in the '90s?

So celebrities have more clout in political matters than politicians?

Only if you're trashing Obama. Remember when Jon Voight talked about how bad Obama was? You had dudes in here wanting to vote for him.

If you have a negative opinion of our POTUS, you'll make fast friends here. They don't care if it's right or completely off base, if it's negative, it's fine.

Who is they? I know Rosie O'Donnell is rather large, but wow, is she really hiding multiple people in there?

They, are those elitist who think guns should be banned, but have private armed security.

Why are you attacking Rosie for being a plus woman. You are now in the g and D club

Funny, I said nothing about racism in my original post. Are you feeling guilty?

There are a very vocal and well funded group of people, in this country who want very restrictive gun laws, including the President

I don't know of one single group that promotes real vs fake rape, other than the ramblings of one or two very dumb repubs

That is because we don't like his polices and feel they are bad for America

So, even when the criticism makes absolutely no sense and has been happening way before Obama took office, it's still acceptable? I thought context is key.

I think you've got his number too.

You know, reading through threads like this one, I truly wonder how I managed to still be alive today seeing that I have no guns to defend myself.

You mean you and your fellow moderates?

This guy is in Florida:

Keep in mind I've been a gun owner less than a year...

Monday night at about 11pm, my neighbor's wife comes banging on door and ringing door bell. I was asleep, but that woke me up. Wife was still up watching TV and went to the door. As I was getting up out of bed, wife comes in bedroom and says "There's a man in the neighbor's house and his wife is hysterical".

I grabbed my SR45 off the bedside safe and off I went. I'd like to think that my mind went all tactical and thought out the next moves, but truthfully my only concern was hoping that everyone there was ok. When I got to the back bedroom where the wife pointed me to, I found my neighbor with his Glock pointed into the closet of his daughter's bedroom. My neighbor was very relieved to see me there to help, although he didn't need it. The guy never saw me, I was outside the bedroom door in case I was needed for some reason. Cops came through the front door about that time and I waved to the first one with my left hand as I placed the gun on the coffee table with my right hand. As he came by he said thanks, but pick that back up. It made perfect sense, obviously they would rather me hold onto it instead of chance him running out the room and getting it. Did make me nervous to be holding it as the other cops (6 total) made their way in. They all saw my gun, but none gave me a second look. I wasn't quite sure what to do at that point. I didn't want to head for the front door and be approaching the next cop with a gun, so I just stood there with it pointed at the floor.

So, when the first two cops made it into the room and my neighbor stepped out with his gun, the robber took that opportunity to charge the police. He knew they had rules I suppose, so he got a little more brave. They tazed him twice and he was still fighting. Took all 6 of them to round him up, he was a tall skinny guy but he was on some serious drugs.

Here's the strange(er?) part...

The family arrived home at about 5pm and noticed someone had broken into their home. They called the cops, the cops showed up and filed a report, looked around a little bit and left. The guy was stowed away in that closet with the family there for 6 hours!! The daughter noticed clothes moving in her closet and that's when they found him.

In my opinion, the only reason that guy (the robber) is alive today is because my neighbor thought he was a kid at first. Otherwise It may have gone a lto differently. So many things about that whole thing could have gone much worse. My neighbor is an older gentlemen with back problems. If he hadn't had a gun, there's no doubt in my mind the guy would have come after him when he felt trapped in that closet.

Sorry for the long story, probably isn't as interesting to you guys, but it's definitely a night my neighbor and I will never forget. I just hope that when this guy does get out of jail, he passes the message to his friends to stay out of our corner of the neighborhood because we have guns!

Since it's public record anyhow, here's the loser's new facebook profile biggrin.gif:
