Where do they get the address to send the package to the fiance

I'm just starting the K1 process. I'm super excited. I'm still currently in Vietnam, and will be back home in about a month.

My question is where does the government get the address to send the packet to the fiance? My fiance will likely be moving between the time the I-129F is submitted and the time they send the packet to her. Am I able to just contact the proper people to get that changed or do I basically need to wait until she's moved? We'd like to get the process started ASAP so we don't have to spend much time apart (from what I'm reading 3 months isn't an unreasonable expectation).

I've already got most of the paperwork done but from what I understand I need to wait until I'm in the US to send it? Or can I send it DHL from Hanoi? I'd be back to the US by the time they process the I-129F.

I meant to mention that I'm guessing it'll be quicker, at least for the initial paperwork because I'll be processed through the Vermont facility, which appears to be lightyears ahead of the dreaded Texas facility.

She won't be able to come visit me in the US because she was denied the B-2 visa a few days ago. I suspect it's unlikely to get approved if we reapply, especially if we get engaged. Hopeful thinking!

First of all, congrats for engagement.

Regarding your question, just put her old address on your I-129F and when she's finally moved and then when the US embassy contact you as her petitioner just give them her current address. It shouldn't be a problem at all.

Vermont does not process I-129F petitions. It's either Texas (where petitions that used to go to Vermont now go), or California.

beneficiary in Vietnam? I swear, they now use ustraveldocs.com and file a DS-160 online, so this concept of 'where to send the packet to' , for a beneficiary, ain't a concept anymore.

if petitioner concern about petitioner change of address/moving - that's a whole nother kettle of fish, address change between NOA-1 and NOA-2.

Hmm, there is nothing in the documentation about even filling out a D-160. We filled one out on ustraveldocs for the failed B2 visa attempt though.

In our case, DS-160 was not filled out until the embassy contacted her,

therefore, the only address they had for her was on I-129F and G-325A forms,

so it could have been from either one I suppose.

I'm 9 months into the K1 visa processing, and we are hopeful that she can be here in 10th month.

You don't have to wait to get to US to send your I-129F petition.

Just be sure to use reliable express service that gives you tracking.

As for the address change, I am sure it can be done after your submission,

but I will let someone comment on when and what is the best way to do this.

That is just for the visa/passport delivery. I don't think that is for the packet information they will send to her. I will call that number and find out though, they will probably be able to give me more information.

She *will* have to fill one out on there, but it's not until after she receives the packet. I'm just making sure I can have where they send the packet to changed during the process.
