I recently received my noa for i485, i765 and advance parole. I haven't had my biometrics appointment letter yet however I got a job offer yesterday and they want me to start ASAP. I am a freelance entertainer, choreographer and stylist and the position is head of department in a new and growing company so obviously I want to take it as I haven't been able to work for 2 months since i entered the country (relying on husbands sole income, he is freelance entertainer and only has income dependent on when he gets gig offers so very unstable) and it is a great opportunity for me at the same time.

I have been delving through tons of previous threads regarding expediting EAD and want to go ahead and start the expedition process as it is certainly worth a try but I am wondering if I have to wait until I have had the biometrics taken or will this not matter? I think Im going to go straight for the congressman route as this seems to have had most success.

Any comments or positive advice appreciated.

Also, do i need to wait until after the ead has arrived to get a SSN, or can i do this now to save time?

A K1 can get a Social Security number during their initial 90 days based on their entry status as a K1. However they cut off applying two weeks before your I-94 expires. So basically you can apply up until Day 76. Looking at your timeline, you are on about Day 79 so the window has closed for you. You will be eligible again when you get the EAD, based on your new status of being authorized to work in the US.
