IR5 IV Pack Question

Hi all,

My I-130 petitions for both my father and stepmother were approved yesterday so I'm busy preparing for the AOS and IV parts once it gets to the NVC.

I noticed on the NVC portal that the IV Pack is supposed to be sent by the beneficiary but since our petition is IR5 my dad and stepmother both have to include certified copies of my birth and marriage certificates. The problem is that my parents are in South Africa and I live near Seattle.

So, my question, do I have to get the certified copies, mail them to my dad in South Africa for him to then assemble with his IV Pack and then send back to the US? or is it possible for me to send the certified copies of my documents directly to the NVC separately from my parents sending their IV Packs?

Thanks for the help!

You could just send the IV package yourself from here. That's pretty much how everyone I've seen on here (myself included) and that I know personally does it.

This does not constitute legal advice.
