So this morning I mailed my I-129F and supporting documents packet via USPS Priority Mail Express. On the address slip, under "Delivery Options", I checked "Signature Required".

Has anyone requested signature before when you sent in your packet? Or does anyone know if there is someone at the facility in Lewisville, TX to sign for packages like mine? Now I am wondering if I messed up.

I think you will be fine. I can't remember if I checked signature or not but a big facility like that is getting mail in bulk. I am sure someone is there in any case.

Hi JIJourney, according to your timeline, your Alien registration number changed on Apr 25th. Just curious, was an original number assigned to you the day before with the text/email message? I received my NOA1 via e-mail and text this morning. It only contains a receipt number. Trying to figure out how I can find an Alien number for my case.

Same day we received NOA1. Alien registration numbers don't effect the timeline of approval at all. They've received your petition, it's currently in a big plastic box among a whole batch of 50 or so petitions who filed at the same time as you. The alien registration number changing notification is just them placing some of your info into their administration system.

Some people get it 6 months down the track. It has no effect on receiving your NOA2 so I would not consider it relevent.

Do not worry all is fine. The NOA1 states no A#. It will change to that status only on the website
