IV checklist received, NVC already has items

Hi Gang,

I received an IV checklist today, August 5. It states:

1) It has received the DS-260

2) It states that it HAS NOT received the response to an AOS checklist. I fedexed the response which they received on July 9.

3,4) It states that they have not received my wife's final divorce decree, nor have they received our marriage certificate. I fedexed certified, official copies of these to NVC on June 24 (along with an expedite request, which was denied).

I am on the phone waiting for NVC right now. Is it typical that they are requesting for documents that they have already received? This does not seem to be a false checklist, but they already have the documents. Is this the sort of thing that clears up in a few days?

I received an email on July 14th which included a true checklist. Initially It was a bit confusing because I really could not determine what document was actually missing. I realized that the last page of the email provided the missing document details (2013 IRS Tax Statement). I would suggest that you review the letter/email (last page) thoroughly and if you still unsure contact NVC. If you don't mind long wait times, call NVC at least twice to be certain that you are provided with the same information by different representatives. When I called NVC to verify if the checklist was true, the first representative I spoke with said to disregard the checklist that it was sent in error. I called back later that day and I was told by another representative that the checklist was true, soooo frustrating.

I spoke to the NVC. The answer is that they have not had time to review the later documents yet, so the checklist is generated from items received from before these documents.
