Teens in St. Louis filmed what appears to be a random attack on another teen walking down the sidewalk and posted the footage to Facebook. Within two days, two suspects were in police custody.

According to the KTVI-TV, the incident happened Sunday in the middle of the day along a busy road in the Missouri city. Cellphone video taken the assault, which was later posted and then removed from Facebook, shows one teen punch the another. The victim, who fell to the ground, was then beat upon by other teens as well.

The news station, which did not include the audio of the video in its report, said the teens could be heard laughing in the footage.

Watch KTVI’s report to see the attack:

By Tuesday, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said it had a 15-year-old and 17-year-old in custody in connection with the assault. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. The victim, KTVI reported, is doing well health-wise.

Earlier this year, there was an apparent resurgence of the so-called “knockout game,” where teens would attack someone on the street at random. It is unclear if this attack was truly random or if other circumstances not shown in the video prompted it.

Looks like we need to send them across the pond to get rehabilitated ......Just kids having fun.... Next it will be an 80 year old white woman who needs a cane to walk. ......lying on the ground face smashed in. Makes good face book material ....Everyone slapping their knees and having a good old time.

These kids need to be locked up in a penitentiary where they will surely be turned into lifetime criminals. That'll teach them. And it'll benefit the nation as a whole. Right?

Only if they have a joint on them. That should get 10 years no question axed. Save us from the dope fiends .

And to make things worse, they are black. If only they were white, the defense could argue affluenza and they could get away with probation.

That's the fate they're probably looking at. And what does that resolve? How does that lower crime? Right, it doesn't. It does the opposite.

I don't disagree with you at all. that was sarcasm. The war on drugs is absurd. I had dinner the other night, and a drug agent for the GBI ate with us. He said it is past time to legalize weed and decriminalize some other drugs.

Putting people in the criminal justice system for possession is absurd .

See, here we agree. The criminal justice system needs to be re-focused as well. A lot of your offenders can be rehabilitated. But we don't even try. Instead, we hook them up with a criminal record and trash any chance they may ever have had of leading a productive life - and we do so before they ever had a chance to actually try and start their life.
