Hello,

I previously filled five I-130 petitions together for my wife and kids, and shipped them all in the same package, at this point do I get one receipt number for the whole thing or five for each one of them?

I received only one? Could there be a mistake?

What does the receipt say? It specifies for whom (beneficiary) it is.

No, it didn't mention the beneficiary's name, however I received a request for evidence two months or so later for one of my children and I replied, but the approval notice that I received does mentions his name only?! Could they have made a mistake? was I following only one case for five months?!!

My uncle filed 3 separate petitions for his 3 kids and they all had the receipt numbers different by one number, in order. They are separate cases after all, so they should have separate case numbers. You should have received 5 different envelopes in your case. Did you pay the $420 fee for each petition? If so, you should contact USCIS.

Also if you just received one today, it could be the others are still in the mail system.

Ok I'm confused. Are you talking about the receipts for the case or the NOA2 (the approval notice)? Which one is it and how many did you receive?

This does not constitute legal advice.

Hmmm something is not right.

When exactly did you file the i130's?

I filled them on April this year, so it's been exactly four months. I just tried adding one number to the receipt number that I have, and the USCIS website states that it was also approved and on the same date! Could this be one of my receipt numbers?

Yes I included five checks of $420 each, and they were charged! I've been checking regularly with the USCIS using the one receipt number they gave me, and I changed my address once so, I don't know if they have changed the address for all the others, since they were all linked and shipped together...

If you changed your address and used only one receipt number, it's possible the the other letters were sent to your old address. How long after you submitted the petitions, did you change your address?

This does not constitute legal advice.
