I completed my DS-261 on July 18th and when I called NVC, they said they have received it. The problem is that it shows incomplete after I clicked on it. Do I need to resubmit it? I know DS261 will affect when IV bill will be invoiced, does anyone know when they invoice the IV bills? On the guide, it says IV will be invoiced after DS261 is accepted. Accepted =Received? When they say received, do they mean they have accepted it?

You don't need to re-submit. Once NVC received the DS261, it will take 30 business days for them to review and accept it. Once accepted, the IV fee invoice will be generated.

Don't touch anything for now.

Did you click on it after calling NVC? If it shows incomplete and you called NVC and they said they receieved it, then don't click on it again. But if you click on it and it showed incomplete after you called NVC, then you need to call NVC again to verify if they received it before you resubmit again. People have been warned never to click on DS-261 after it showed completed because it will reset your submission date and that can delay your IV bill. My advise is that you should call NVC

When did you click on it? Was it after the 18th? Does it still say incomplete? If you clicked on it after submission, it resets your clock to get your IV fee.

I just called and they said they've received it on the 18th, and told me to not resubmit it because it will reset my time to get IV fees. I will just leave it alone, hopefully that will not affect my IV fees.

Thanks everyone:)

Same thing happened to me as well. What happened was after DS261was filled, I went back and clicked on it. Then later on, it showed as incomplete. I didn't do anything until I received my IV fees and I paid it. Then problem existed when I'd to fill the DS260 form online. So I just called NVC. The lady whom I spoke with put me on hold for a minute and then told me to click on incomplete button and just save the changes. I did that right then. It was fixed and I was able to fill out DS260 form without any problem. My suggestion is please don't call them until you receive your IV invoice and ready to fill your Ds260

Is your DS-261 showing completed or incomplete. Either way, call NVC and ask for the status of your DS-261.

It shows completed. I called NVC to check the status but what the representative told me is if i got the confirmation # after completing the ds-261 then no need to worry.. I just have to wait for 60days.. Thanks for your reply ?

Hi! I just want to ask, I filed my DS-261 and after I submitted it, it says "incomplete". I waited 2-3 business weeks for an update but until now I haven't got a follow up regarding my case. I tried to click on the "pay now" and it says that my payment status is still not invoiced. What do I do?
